From 18 – 24 August 2010, four young activists from Amnesty International will be keeping you up to date on the happenings at the 2010 CIVICUS World Assembly.

Nicki Lees from Amnesty International Australia, Charlie Barrail from AI Paraguay, Urbain Yameogo from AI Burkina Faso and Salam from AI Canada french speaking make up our multilingual team blogging from the 6 day World Assembly, held this year in beautiful Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

CIVICUS is an international alliance of organisations dedicated to strengthening citizen action and civil society.  This blog will keep you informed on what’s taking place at the CIVICUS Youth Assembly (18-20 August) and the World Assembly (21-24 August.)

The meeting has the theme of ‘Seeking out Solutions’ in ‘Acting Together for a Just World’.

As your representatives for Amnesty International at this meeting Nicki, Charlie, Urbain and Salam will be able to share what they learn in workshops and also fill you in on what many of the amazing organisations at the conference are doing!
